• Salary: £20,000 - 30,000. Negotiable dependant on experience
• A food manufacturing company with a site based in Somerset is currently seeking a Technical Coordinator/Food Science Graduate to join their technical team on a permanent basis.
• You will be a Technical Coordinator with experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment and/or a recent Food Science Graduate with a desire to work within the manufacturing industry.
• The successful Technical Coordinator/Food Science Graduate will have an understanding of HACCP and BRC with knowledge of major retailers and ideally be experienced in problem-solving.
• Management of Technical, Quality, Food Safety, effectively resolving all day to day technical issues to ensure that all production meets retailer specification.
• Management & Development of Quality Management & Quality Assurance Systems
• Able to conduct internal, external and Supplier Audits
• HACCP & CCP Team Leader & System Development
• Achieve and provide a due diligence and maintain accreditation standards: PPC and Hygiene Standards.
• Work with the Senior Management to achieve an integrated Quality Management system that conforms to all customer requirements
• Maintain and develop HACCP and process control systems and documentation in line with company and customer requirements. Annual review of compliance.
• Review and develop quality policies and systems in accordance with customer requirements.
• Establish and build relationships with the retailer technical teams.
• Resolution of customer complaints, ensuring target levels are achieved and improved.
• Identify staff training and development needs, devising and implementing appropriate training plans.
• Responsible for setting site standards and conducting internal audits.
• Assist in product launches and also liaise with personnel on the factory floor.
