Teaching Fellow in Sport and Exercise Science
The Sport and Exercise Science BSc programme sits within the Department of Nutritional Sciences, part of the School of Biosciences and Medicine. Hence, the post holder is expected to complement our existing strengths in exercise science, nutrition, physiology, biomechanics and anatomy. They will need to be able to collaborate with colleagues from across the School of Biosciences and Medicine to deliver the best possible learning experience at both undergraduate and post-graduate level. The post holder may also need to interact with members of the Faculty of Engineering and Physics, to help to design and deliver modules as part of our “Engineering for Health” innovation umbrella. This post represents part of our planned future growth and development as a School. Successful applicants will have a PhD in a relevant subject and bring a record of achievement in scholarship. They will take pride in providing high quality teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, working to improve methods of delivery and assessment by exploring, contributing to the development of, and embracing new approaches to pedagogy.
